We didn't watch television in my house until I was around thirteen years old, but I remember loving TV all my life.

The only TV I watched in my early years, was at my grandmother's house or in a hotel room on vacation.
Are there any two places more special to a kid?

Maybe, but not to this kid.
Such delights as Saturday morning cartoons and reruns of Bewitched at Grandma's house or reruns of Kung Fu in a hotel room before going to dive into the pool, were rare but cherished events in my childhood.

In fact, the one thing I knew for sure about my life as an adult, was that I was going to own a TV.
When we finally had a TV in the house I watched it constantly working my way through the history of television, from black and white reruns of I Love Lucy and The Andy Griffith Show to Mary Tyler Moore and Taxi, to the Dukes of Hazard and Highlander, to Step by Step and Full House, all the way up to Friends, a show that was on prime time at the time.
